Artist, musician, and songwriter, Rykarda Parasol (\reh-kaer-dah\) is alive and well. She has been living this past half year in Paris, France and wishes you were here.

Our Hearts First Meet

Parasol describes her dark sound as "Rock Noir". A unique deep gender-bending voice, Parasol's stories are narratives derived from her personal life. Often compared to literary notables as well as musical ones, Parasol's education is in literature and fine art. Her words and imagery are as much related to art, literature, and theatre as they are to music. Musically, she draws on American rock, soul and southern influences as well as Northern European styles both modern and ancient. A San Francisco native, Parasol and has also lived in Texas, Los Angeles, and presently splitting her time in Paris, France and San Francisco. She is the product of Swedish mum and Israeli father, a Holocaust survivor. She has written and self-produced and self-released two highly acclaimed albums and a third is already well underway. Voila!

J'ai laisse mon coeur po ... Rykarda Maintenant habite a Paris. Elle compose la musique et les mots "Rock noire" - il est sombre, mysterieux et poetique. Il faut partir de la litterature, l'art et musique, bien sur. Rykarda est de San Francisco. Elle est l'enfant d'une mere suedoise et de pere israelien, qui etait un survivant de l'Holocauste. Rykarda musique reflete ses propres histoires, gagne et perd, et les contes d'un outsider.
